Someone at work just got let go after almost 10 years on the job. Word going around is they got replaced by someone cheaper. Ten years of showing up, solving problems, being the person people relied on, and in the end, it came down to a line on a spreadsheet.Maybe there was a "we're family here" email at some point. Maybe it was even believed, a little.
