"After Actions Review" (David Barlow)

from Minutemen Initiative · host Dynamic Defense Solutions

After Actions Reviews are used to recall, process, and de-brief a situation that happened, why it happened, and if it could've been handled better/differently. This process can enable better understanding overall, can help those who experienced the situation, and can help others who may find themselves in similar situations in the furture. On the "Minutemen Initiative" we use the After Actions Review to allow someone to share a life experience that others could learn from. In this "After Actions Review" Jacob and Stephen sit down with David Barlow to discuss a wild and life-threatening experince in the backcountry mountains of Alaska. What started out as a fun backcountry snowmobile and snowboarding trip quickly turned into a life or death race against time and surviving harsh winter enviromental hazards.  We believe there is great value and benefit in listening and learning from others experinces and hearing what they learned from it.
