Hannah received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona, Tucson, in 1990. she completed pre-doctoral internships at La Frontera Community Mental Health Center in Tucson and at the University of California, Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute. she worked as a Veterans Administration psychologist for two years, first at the VA Outpatient Clinic in downtown Los Angeles and then at the Northport, Long Island V.A., where she specialized in behavioral medicine.
