After Everything Changes: Finding Purpose in the Unexpected

What happens when the life you knew changes without warning? When stability disappears and you’re left asking not only how to rebuild, but who you will become in the process? In this episode of Elsplend Realities, Jon Edlin shares the deeply personal experience of losing his home to a tornado and the journey that followed. His story explores loss, uncertainty, emotional rebuilding, perspective, identity, and the possibility of growing through adversity rather than simply surviving it. We talk about how unexpected disruption can challenge our understanding of security, reshape the way we see ourselves, and ultimately create space for new purpose. Jon offers a grounded reminder that while we may not always choose what happens to us, we can begin to choose how we move forward.
