Kristy Johnston was one of the top American marathoners of the 1990s. She set her PR of 2:29:05 in winning the 1993 Houston Marathon, and she also won the 1994 Chicago Marathon. She retired in 2000. She lives in Syracuse, N.Y., with her husband and business partner, former elite track runner Chris Fox.
