Afterbirth 10/6/20: My Baby's Birthday Makes Me Cry "Instead of being happy with my kid's birthday, it brings up birth trauma and grief for what I didn't get get".  ~ this in from new member Lindy Points of talking were: Shared decision making  harm reduction and how this plays out negatively and positively in almost all birth environments.  Miscarriage brings up "the what if spiral" and how the not knowing of why this happened is one of the worst aspects of a rough time for many.  Also compassion to Chrissy Tegan and her family during this hard time. Whatever going on outside that door is a plastic ball that will bounce.  Wait, what? Rowan heard a great analogy attributed to Nora Roberts about dropping balls when juggling the work/life balance. When juggling balls, one or more is going to fall, like this is a given. Which ball s plastic, and will bounce and be fine.  Which is glass and won't bounce.  Spoiler alert: Moms and postpartum folx are treated as disposable styrofoam when instead, YOU are the glass.
