Ag protection area approved near Tremonton

The Box Elder County Commission approved an agricultural protection area for a 12.01-acre parcel near Tremonton following a public hearing July 7. The proposal originally included five parcels totaling 40.38 acres, but four were removed because they were located in an unzoned area and were not eligible for inclusion. Community Development Director Scott Lyons said the resolution ultimately covered only the remaining 12.01-acre parcel.
