AGAMEMNON - REDHILL SCHOOL
from HELLENIC RADIO Hosted by Tulla Critsotakis
Redhill School proudly presents ... AGAMEMNON! Agamemnon is a Greek tragedy which highlights the devastation of war on communities and relationships. This student-led production was inspired by the modernised version of the Ancient Greek play. The production offered opportunities for the young directors and actors to experiment with physical theatre, chorus work, and image-building. Explore the world of a ruthless leader, Agamemnon, as he returns victorious from the Trojan war to a vengeful wife, Clytemnestra, who is seeking justice for her murdered daughter’s life. The chorus leads us through the story by constructing thrilling visual images of sacrifices, storms, shattered cities, celebrations, and clandestine lovers. “The tale of blood is not over; it has only just begun…” Renos Nicos Spanoudes chats to Hanna Resnick and Charlotte Snyckers, directors of Agamemnon, during Saturday’s Role on Hellenic Radio.
