Agent Zeta: Prime Video's Global Action Sensation

The episode describes the unexpected streaming success of the film Agent Zeta, a Spanish-language action thriller currently available on Amazon Prime Video. Starring Mario Casas, the movie follows a former intelligence operative who discovers his long-lost father while investigating the murders of several undercover agents. Critics have highlighted that the film effectively blends tropes from the Bourne and Jason Statham franchises, despite lacking a high-profile Hollywood budget. Although it received a mixed reception from professional reviewers, the project has resonated with global audiences, climbing into the platform’s top ten list of non-English movies. This 2026 release is directed by Dani de la Torre and serves as a significant example of international content finding a massive audience through digital distribution.
