La Casa dei Cini nasce nel 2005 come azienda agricola. Questa è gestita da due fratelli: la storia di Clelia e Riccardo Cini a Vocabolo Petroso nei dintorni di Piegaro, Umbria.Nel 2014 riescono ad ottenere la certificazione Bio. Intenzionati a salvaguardare l’ambiente iniziato anche a fare progetti come la fattoria didattica per far comprendere meglio ai bambini l’importanza della protezione ambientale e il tema del cambiamento climatico.La nascita della Casa dei Cini. L’avvio di un’impresa non è semplice, soprattutto se a farlo è un giovane. L’azienda Cini ha infatti avuto un sostegno da parte dell’Unione Europea che ha stanziato dei fondi in aiuto delle aziende agricole. Le due difficoltà che ora si trova di fronte sono: il posizionamento nel mercato (anche se non c’è una competizione negativa deve comunque trovare il suo spazietto nel mercato) e il cambiamento climatico, che fa strage dei raccolti.L’intervento europeo. Gli aiuti per i giovani agricoltori prima nominati sono rappresentati dal PAC che interviene su tre fronti: sostegno economico con pagamenti diretti agli agricoltori, adattando misure di mercato per far fronte ai momenti difficili e mettendo in atto misure in risposta alle esigenze e alle sfide specifiche delle zone rurali.L’importanza di questa storia è data dal fatto che l’agricoltura vede un numero molto basso di giovani. Clelia e Riccardo hanno fatto una scelta controcorrente: rimanere nella propria terra natia e continuare l’attività di famiglia.
