On Agriskoops today, we listen to excerpts from a talk by the Chief Economist of the Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa, Wandile Sihlobo. He discusses the Crop Estimates Committee’s end-of-June revised forecast for the 2025/26 summer grain and oilseed harvest. Sihlobo explains why South Africa is expecting an excellent harvest, and how the larger crop is likely to influence local prices, exports and the broader agricultural economy.
