In this episode of Awesome humans, we are back in our podcasting studio at HQGC interview some awesome guests. Host, Brett McCallum sat down with lash and brow enthusiast, Otto Mitter. Otto Mitter is the managing director of Ellebana and has also won several awards for teaching beauty enthusiast across 50 countries the art of lash and brows. Otto starts his story off by taking us back to his childhood. Otto was introduced to the beauty industry by his mother. She was a pioneer to the industry having owned a salon and having an influence on the education curriculum for the industry. In his teen years, Otto played in a band having had a passion for music but later deciding that wasn’t for him so, it was back to beauty school. In the world today due to COVID-19, the beauty industry has been heavily impacted by the restrictions put in place, enforcing beauty salons to put a hold on their services. Otto reminisces about times before COVID-19 reflecting on his glamorous life travelling around the world and attending beauty events, such as the Lash World Cup. An event where beauticians from around the world come together and compete in a lash-off. Today Otto lives on the Gold Coast with his wife and sons.
