The COVID-19 global pandemic has put additional pressures on all parts of the health system, including laboratory services. Teams at Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) have been working 20 hours a day, seven days a week, for the past few weeks in order to deal with a surge in demand for COVID-19-related testing, as well as manage ongoing needs for other testing.
