She leads AI strategy for BR and is responsible for the journalistic data and AI teams working on algorithmic investigations and journalistic products. As a Nieman Fellow 2019, she spent an academic year at Harvard and MIT, and she was part of Online News Association’s Women’s Leadership Accelerator 2022. Together with her colleagues, she has won national and international awards.In this episode: Major newsrooms across Europe have been designing new initiatives on how to use AI tools while maintaining ethics and editorial standards.The use of AI algorithm is not new in journalism, it already helps in many tasks as tagging, categorizing, headline suggestions, moderating comments, etc. The novelty is that it’s able to produce content. In some use cases, generative AI can help editors and reporters translate and transform their stories for different distribution channels.
