Anthropic recorded malicious use of Claude between December 2025 and August 2026 across cybercrime, espionage, surveillance, fraud and influence operations. In one case, an operator distributed a credential-harvesting pipeline across 10 AWS workers and scanned 1.8 million Android application packages for hardcoded secrets.
