AIDS Meets Fashion

When was the last time you heard someone speak of HIV/AIDS? It has been far too long since news about HIV/AIDS was front page news. Fortunately, the Elton John Foundation continues to keep the issue upfront with Fashion by sponsoring the Style Icon Competition. Currently, in the number One position, is Tamil Robinson, a Newark, NJ native who is a creative art and design director in the fashion industry for over 30 years. Through this competition, he has the opportunity to showcase his talents and tell the story of the “Designing Man from Housing To Haute Couture" to the world. Please vote for Tamil which supports AIDS initiatives and will allow him an opportunity to compete for $20,000 (to further his education initiative for youngsters in fashion), a feature in Flaunt Magazine, and an experience attending a Versace Fashion Show during Milan Fashion Week.
