Air Force joins federal agencies planning to spend more than ever on construction and maintenance projects

The Air Force is requesting what’s likely a record $10 billion facility construction budget for fiscal 2027, up from $3.9 billion in 2026. And when you add other construction projects like military family housing and facilities sustainment and restoration, the budget request skyrockets to almost $27 billion. All in all, federal agencies are planning to spend more money than ever on construction and maintenance projects in the coming years. Brig. Gen.
