Airport Vibes San Diego Edition | Birthday Trip Recap Pt. 3

The final part of my amazing birthday trip recap to San Diego! 🌴✨ And honestly, the only hiccups from the entire trip happened at the airport… what a surprise 😅Airports have been seeing record numbers of delays and cancellations, and welp… I got to experience it firsthand—delays coming AND going, from TSA all the way to sitting on the plane. Between increased air traffic, aging technology, and the never-ending air traffic control staffing shortage… Houston, we have a problem! ✈️But somewhere in the middle of all that airport chaos, I had a little full-circle moment.As a reformed crashout 😂, I had an interaction at the gate that really showed me just how far I’ve come on this healing journey. Because listen… my old attitude and temper?! I would’ve been READY to go off. But your girl likes to travel, and I cannot be ending up on somebody’s no-fly list! 😂 So instead, I had to breathe. Like actually stop, take a few deep breaths, calm myself down, and choose how I wanted to respond.And guess what? It worked.It might sound small, but that’s the thing about growth—we’re always looking for these huge, life-changing moments to prove we’ve healed when sometimes the proof is simply in how differently we respond to something that once would’ve completely taken us there.This episode is raw, honest, and real because we do not give ourselves enough credit for the progress we’ve made throughout our lives.
