Airsoft Gun Sparks Mall Panic | Calgary News

Four teens face charges after a terrifying mall meltdown in Lethbridge — one pulled out an airsoft gun that fooled shoppers into fleeing for cover, while another carried a knife and baton. Police arrived within 90 seconds, arresting all before things spiraled into chaos. The replica weapon’s uncanny resemblance to a real firearm nearly triggered an officer-involved shooting — a chilling reminder of how quickly danger can escalate. Authorities are still seeking a woman hit by a pellet and urge witnesses or cellphone holders to come forward. Parents are being warned: these toys have no place in public.
