His wife is a stay at home mom, and raises the kids while he's on the road. He wanted to spend some money on a gaming system for his truck so he could have fun while he's away from home, but his wife said they need to make better financial decisions. OP decided that since he makes the money (and the savings is full and the bills are paid, and his wife got a new car and a hot tub) that he was going to do it anyway.
