AJ Larranaga is the guest this week on Mental Maintenance. AJ's story is a rough one but you wouldn't know by his outlook on life. He is a true optimist and can see the silver lining in every storm cloud. He walks us through his journey with his son Lucas who died about a week after birth. Lucas was diagnosed with Gluteric Academia Type II a few days after he was born and although Lucas' life may have been short, it was impactful. AJ talks about how hard it was to come back from the hospital to a childless home which lead to him using pills to numb the pain and sadness. When his wife Rachel got pregnant with their second son, he stepped up and checked into rehab.
