Akeela Manekia-Mehdi - Tutor and App Creator for Qur'an Treasure Island (October 26, 2019)

Akeela Manekia-Mehdi is a Qur’an tutor and the creator of an app for Muslim children, Qur’an Treasure Island. Akeela has had the opportunity to live in several states in the USA as well as the Middle East and Africa. She homeschooled through high school and eventually attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She currently lives in Minneapolis, MN, where she is working endlessly to enhance the app with exciting updates, and promote it to the wider Muslim community via social media and live events.
