アクション五輪書05：自分自身を表現する

＜自分自身を表現する＞ ●「究極的に、マーシャル・アートは自分自身を正直に表現すること」であると言っているパートである。だから当然、アクション表現について語っていると考えてよい。 ●前半は、（おそらく京劇的に）見世物化された表現（カンフー時代劇？）などを指していると思われ、そういうのは簡単だということ。 ●それに対して後半は、自分のリアルなスタイルとしてのマーシャル・アートの方法論＝自分自身を正直に表現することについて語っている。 ●自分自身を正直に表現することは、とても難しい。その理由は、動きたいと思った時に動くことが重要で、そのためにはハードに鍛える必要があるということ。そうして動きたいと思った時に動けるように、思いと動作を一体化するのである。 　・派手な作られた見世物的表現なら簡単にできる。 　・しかし自分自身を正直に表現することは難しい。 　・そのためには反応速度を上げるために、ハードに鍛える必要があるから。 　・そうして動くと思った時に即動けるように、思いと動きを一体化する。 ●つまり、自分自身を正直に表現するには、事前準備された大袈裟な振り付けではなく、思いと動きが一体となった状態をハードトレーニングによって作り出すことが必要だと言っている。 ●この発言には、振付けありきの立回り表現における、即興的反応表現との同一性を見出すことができる。 ●また反応の速さという点では、三船敏郎の演技に対する黒澤明の評価と共通する。 ●＜まとめ＞ 　・マーシャル・アート（アクション）は、究極的には自分自身を正直に表現することである。 　・そのためには、思いと動きが一体化するように鍛える必要がある。 　・＝即時反応表現の重要性を説いている。＝それが自分自身を表現すること。 原文 Man, listen to me, ok? To me, ultimately, martial art means honestly expressing yourself. Now it is very difficult to do. I mean it is easy for me to put on a show and be cocky and be flooded with a cocky feeling and then feel, then, like pretty cool and all that. Or I can make all kinds of phony things, you see what I mean? And be blinded by it. Or I can show you some really fancy movement, but, to express oneself honestly, not lying to oneself....and to express myself honestly, that, my friend is very hard to do. And you have to train. You have to keep your reflexes so that when you want it...it's there! When you want to move, you are moving and when you move you are determined to move. Not taking one inch, not anything less than that! If I want to punch, I'm going to do it man , and I'm going to do it! So that is the type of thing you gave to train yourself into it; to become one with it. You think...(snaps his fingers) ....it is.
