When did the history of Israel begin? Not in 1948, when the modern state of Israel became independent, and not in 1917, when the British Empire declared its agreement to a homeland for the Jewish people. As Al McCarn explains in his book, Christian Zionism 101: Ten Reasons Christians Should Support Israel and the Jewish People, the history of Israel began when God called Abraham out of his homeland to become father of the Covenant Nation 4,000 years ago. That’s one of the reasons Christians should support Israel and the Jewish people. There are more, as we learn in this concluding part of our conversation.  Israel is God’s Covenant Nation, but what exactly does that have to do with followers of Messiah Yeshua – both traditional Christians and Messianic/Hebraic believers?
