Al Oshlack and Sue Higginson on the Legal Situation for Native Forests

from Environmental as Anything Interviews · host Sean O’Shannessy

Our Native Forests are under assault from powerful forces under the control of the NSW government. Self described "bush lawyer", Al Oshlack has been working with the Gumabngyirr people of the Mid North Coast to launch legal action to protect their lands. He speaks to us about the success of this strategy this week. Sue Higginson (MLC) works in the NSW Parliament's Upper House (and across the community) to defend nature. She has some good news from there of progress toward a Nature Positive future for NSW.
