Alaska Senate Race Gets Weird | US News

Alaska’s Senate race just got wilder with a surprise candidate named Dan J. Sullivan—same name as the incumbent Republican Senator—now officially on the ballot after a judge intervened. The retired teacher’s candidacy, blocked by election officials who called it voter-confusing, was cleared by the state Supreme Court. With incumbent Dan Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola also in the race, the challenger has already thrown shade at the senator for backing Trump, accusing him of prioritizing tariffs over everyday costs. Ranked-choice voting adds another twist: candidates who don’t win outright could sway the outcome by influencing how voters rank others. The final tally still hinges on absentee and overseas ballots, making this a race to watch closely. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
