Alberta Man Arrested for Child Abuse Charges | Calgary News

A 35-year-old man from Lacombe, Alberta, Graham St. Thomas, is facing serious child sex abuse charges after being arrested by Alberta’s ALERT ICE unit following a tip from the FBI about disturbing material shared on Telegram. Authorities seized multiple devices during the April investigation, underscoring how global digital collaboration—between agencies like the FBI and ALERT—is critical to catching offenders hiding behind encrypted platforms. St. Thomas is charged with distributing, possessing, and accessing child exploitation content; his next court date is September 29th, as the probe continues.
