Now that Hannah Gutierrez has been convicted of manslaughter, what does this mean for Alec Baldwin’s case? His team has filed for dismissal of the grand jury indictment, arguing that the prosecution gave improper jury instructions, acted in bad faith, and failed to present exculpatory evidence. It also came to light that Baldwin was offered the same plea deal provided to first assistant director Dave Halls, but the prosecution withdrew the offer ten days before Baldwin’s deadline to accept. The court has since ordered and ruled on the proper instructions for the Grand Jury. I am interested to see how the prosecution responds to this voluminous motion.
