Alec: Breaking fear into pieces

from Adam · host Adam Webber

Today Alec called in with his experience with fear and anxiety. Alec is a Mormon and faith, religion and aiming to help serve others is a big part of his life's purpose. When Alec was in high school he felt some social anxiety around other people. His anxiety was really tested when it was time for him to go to Romania for two years on a mission to share with the locals his faith of The Church of Latter-dat Saints. In his encounters each day he would need to go door to door and speak with people in the Romanian language which was extremely difficult but rewarding. When Alec returned home from his mission he realized all the confidence and courage that he had built up in his time abroad. Alec talks about breaking our fears down into smaller pieces in order to concur each part and before we know it, over time, we will have concurred a larger fear.
