"Alec" - Chapter 4

In this chapter things with Alec and Rene' have ground to a halt, but maybe Val can help change the balance. ~ ~ ~ What happens to the family left behind to pick up the pieces of a tragic suicide? That is the question that haunted me the day I heard of a kid in my own neighborhood who'd used a shotgun to kill himself in his apartment, and thus this story was born. It gets heavy, but as in all of my writing, there is a silver lining and a happy ending no matter how unorthodox. ~ ~ ~ This chapter is also available as a blog post: http://corner-catch.com/2019/11/28/alec-a-novella-chapter-4-of-10/
