La jefa de Terapia Intensiva del Hospital Santamarina, Alejandra Caputo, reconoció que el balance del área crítica va cambiando minuto a minuto.  Aseguró que están ocupados todo el tiempo y que las camas que se van liberando son reasignadas a las pocas horas. “Hay gente esperando para entrar”, admitió.  “Se trata de pacientes que se vienen sosteniendo con otros métodos pero que en definitiva terminan requiriendo un respirador”, indicó en Radio Tandil. La edad promedio de los pacientes internados en Terapia ha bajado respecto de la primera ola de Covid. “En este momento tenemos pacientes de treinta y pico de años en Terapia.  El más grande que tenemos en el área tiene 68 años”, detalló.
