Aleksandar Đurić: The Boy From Doboj

PART 1 of 2 Aleksandar Đurić was born in Lipag, Yugoslavia. He has overcome many hurdles in life, from an early age when he was born with a growth disorder to representing his flag at Barcelona Olympics in 1992; an event he hitchhiked to. He went on to become a champion kayaker, an Olympian, a soldier who fought in the civil war in Bosnia, a refugee, a professional football player with more than 350 goals and currently the principal of Sport Singapore and ActiveSG Football Academy. In this first of 2 episodes we laughed, lived through the tense moments of the brutality of war, shed a few tears of remembrance for his family killed in the war and had an amazing look back at the days gone by.
