Auburn received zero votes in the latest AP poll despite opening the 2026 season with victories over Baylor and Southern Miss. Is that disrespect, or does Auburn simply have more work to do before voters are willing to believe Alex Golesh has the Tigers headed in the right direction? That's the debate as Auburn prepares for Florida. The Tigers handled Southern Miss 43 to 8 and showed major improvement offensively. Byrum Brown finished 18 of 29 passing, and that number doesn't tell the entire story because Auburn also had multiple drops. Brown continues to show that while his throwing motion might not look conventional, the football is getting where it needs to go. Now Auburn has to prove it against SEC competition.
