Alex: Be the hero of your own story

from Adam · host Adam Webber

Today I had the pleasure of catching up with a friend that I have been lucky enough to play soccer with. I have also been inspired by the thoughtful posts that Alex has consistently posted to his Facebook page though out all the years that I have know him so I knew that I really wanted to be able to talk with him about fear and the lessons that he has learned. Alex shared his story of being a highly talented soccer player competing at the D1 level and his goal was to go pro but when he experienced some setbacks that he refers to as “mental maturity” lessons his life moved in another direction, to his acting, which is a passion that he has never given up on. Much of the posts that he writes that really resonates with me are his thoughts and perspective that he has gained from all of the ups and downs that come with tirelessly pursuing a goal and how to stay motivated when you feel like you keep experiencing defeat.
