Alex Costa follows his appearance on the fourth ‘KD Raw’ with three tracks of deep, niggling techno, set to a Turin-timed pendulum and distinguished by boxy beats, loops ordered to bend minds and oscillations turning ears inside out unto infinity. With Kaiserdisco assisting in the process of sending dancefloors spiralling, ‘Paradox’ sends dials and meters over the edge with anxious synth beads tumbling over one another. A breach in security has ‘Charon’ setting off a chain reaction of distress signals in darkness, and on ‘Hydra’, two notes tango timidly before they’re filtered into a grand scale face off as Costa keeps pushing the techno metronome.
