Auburn football fans finally got a look at the offense during A-Day, and let’s just say… it wasn’t exactly what people were hoping to see. In this video, we break down Byrum Brown’s performance, what went wrong in the passing game, and whether there’s actually cause for concern heading into the 2026 season. While the stat line alone doesn’t tell the full story, the missed opportunities absolutely do. There were multiple throws left on the field, including deep shots to Chaz Nimrod and Brian Williams Jr. that should have been explosive plays. For a veteran quarterback with experience and familiarity in the system, those are throws Auburn HAS to hit. But before anybody hits panic mode, context matters. The defense, led by DJ Durkin, has reportedly been giving the offense fits all spring, and even in a “vanilla” look during A-Day, they showed why this unit could be one of the strengths of the team this season. Meanwhile, Tristan Tate stepped in and delivered a very encouraging performance, raising questions about Auburn’s QB depth moving forward. There’s no overreaction here, just real evaluation. Auburn fans have been waiting for consistent QB play, and performances like this naturally raise eyebrows. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
