Alex Lira

Alex Lira   José Alejandro (Alex) Lira Carmona preserves and promotes the tapestry tradition of Huamantla, Tlaxcala. This art is a collective ephemeral in which he has actively participated all his life. He is recognized by the community as a Tapestry Master, a legacy from his father, the tapestry Master and artist José “Pepe” Lira. Alex Lira created Mexican Tapestry Artists, a civil society and collective group. Alejandro is an architect graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He also obtained a Master Degree in Design, Planning and Conservation of Landscapes and Gardens at the CYAD Atzcapotzalco at the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM).
