He took his first steps as resident in a club called Pigalle, whose legendary and glamorous Friday was a must for all those who loved black music and alternative sounds. Born as a lover of jazz, soul and funk, later his taste was strongly influenced and contaminated by electronic artists such as Art Of Noise, Jean-Michel Jarre and Kraftwerk; and when New Beat and Acid arrived at the end of the 80s, he became a pioneer of these sounds, alternating between rare sets of grooves and rave parties. Over the years this will be a feature of JJ, his ability to offer and link multiple genres without loss of credibility, always maintaining the right mood and a high standard of quality. Always interested to the new trends, he doesn't like to define his style and says: "Music is just energy and sensation, no matter what you play but what the sound makes you feel".
