Thanks to a loving family, the Shriners Hospitals for Children, as well as his own personal determination and courage, Alex has lived a remarkable life. He received a mainstream education at a time where children with physical disabilities were segregated to "special schools." He then went on to receive a college education from an Ivy League institution, at the University of Notre Dame. Alex also holds a  Master's Degree in Sports Management. He made a successful career working for the San Diego Padres Baseball Team for over 10 years. In 2015, he started a career as a motivational speaker, author, and social media influencer. Alex has authored 10 books, has been invited to speak at Google, Nasa, and Harvard University, among other various prestigious institutions.  Born with only one limb, he has worn mechanical prosthetics most of his life. His physical challenges have inspired him to be an advocate for people with disabilities as well as for Universal Design and accessibility. Please listen to learn more about this amazing person.
