A self taught engineer, bike builder and downhiller; Alex - along with his brother Hawke - has been designing, building and racing carbon downhill bikes since the early 1990's. Innovating such things as the "2X4" multi-pivot bikes, internally geared DH bikes and the worlds first 29'er downhill bikes - all full carbon and handmade by Alex and BCD. Today Alex is living the dream with his wife and ranch animals in New Mexico.
