Alexandra Thompson

In this episode, we sit down and have an open book conversation with Alexandra Thompson. Alexandra is the Counseling Director of Cumberland Counseling Services, a counseling practice inside of Cumberland Community Church just outside of Atlanta, GA. Her mission is to integrate clinical counseling centers into every church in America, making "caring for mental health" synonymous with "being the church"! She believes that our mental health is the foundation of how we view ourselves and the world around us (including how we relate to God), and therefore providing mental health care should be a regular component to church ministry.  In addition, Alex and her husband have huge hearts for adoption advocacy and they have a beautiful baby boy named Anders whom they adopted at 5 days old.
