Alfred Collins' Run Defense Potential
from San Francisco 49ers News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Alfred Collins, the 49ers’ 43rd-overall pick, is a massive defensive tackle with serious upside—especially if he can anchor their run defense. Seventeen tackles and a late-season surge—including a forced fumble highlighted by Frank Gore—hinted at promise, though a hip injury limited his impact. With new pass-rushers around, Collins can now focus on what he does best: stopping the run. Year two is critical—will he become the dominant interior defender the 49ers need, or will his draft status remain a question mark?
