Ali Macofsky

from Unlicensed Therapy w/ Ari Mannis · host Ari Mannis

The episodes starts off with a McRib Mukbang then I interview comedian and host of the podcast “Resting Bitch Face”, Ali Macofsky. On this episode Ali seeks advice on how to set boundaries in the early stages of dating. Having only been in short and zealous relationships in the past the idea of setting boundaries sounded foreign and intimidating. On the rare occasion a relationship was beginning to show signs of something more serious an unknown feeling of fear would take over and causes Ali to search for flaws to then use it as means to end the relationship. As she continued the cycle of ending things too quickly and mixing lust with love a sex coach was serendipitously recommended to her. This sex coach ended up giving her one key factor Ali had not taken into consideration before, sex compatibility. Learning this proved to be essential and changes the way she sought out partners completely. We end of the show on a high note when Ali reveals to us how she got her first job working for On Air with Ryan Seacrest. It started as curiosity of just wanting to know how her voice sounded over the radio. Young Ali called into the station with no plan on what to say but with a vision of Britney Spears tickets. After singing toxic she wins tickets to American idol, the next day Ali calls back to grumble about not having VIP seating. Following that a producer got in contact with her dad for an idea for a show where she makes prank phone calls. Only after recording a few successful episodes Ali was offered a job that went on for the next 4 years!
