Ali Toth, The Room, episode 4

As the editor-in-chief of of The Room, Ali Toth has ridden shotgun for one of the most influential publications in Hungary during the past decade. I visited his office for a tête-à-tête on a whole slew of topics including his teenage room wall art, his status as Aladar Toth VII, his grandfather the musicologist, difficulties in sticking with advertisers, how to keep the magazine fresh after 10 years, what Tilda Swinton did, the art of concept, relationships both in and out of the magazine’s family, and Japan.  Issue 18 of The Room will be released in April.
