Alien Zombie Punks from Upstate New York: A New Year’s Eve Invasion at Max’s Kansas City

New Year’s Eve at Max’s Kansas City becomes an alien massacre in Dan Wilder’s “Alien Zombie Punks from Upstate New York.” Three friends drive through the snow for a night of loud bands and cheap thrills, but shadow creatures tear through the club before meteors bring the attack into the streets. A fleeing punk discovers that some victims are getting back up—and they are not looking for another concert. This science-fiction horror comedy mixes New York’s punk scene with extraterrestrial invasion and fast-moving zombies. Can friendship survive a night that changes what it means to be alive?
