A few middle distance and one long distance later and I qualified for the European Long Distance Tri champs in Almere in Sept 2024 which was an amazing experience - it was only my second full distance tri. I’m in my early 50s, mum of two, not from a triathlon or athletic background but I got into running in my 40s. I couldn’t swim a few years ago so had to learn and overcome a massive fear of water to even consider triathlon.
