Alive to Make Disciples

Teaching from the last words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, Pastor Carl taught today the central doctrine of Jesus being God, and His command to us to make disciples. From the beginning of church history, we see that it was recognized that Jesus is God. When He returned after His resurrection He told that He had all authority and He chose to use it to bring more people into the Kingdom of God. The world wars against the hope we have in Jesus. It desperately wants us to buy into the notion that we are all doomed. But we have a hope that only comes through faith in God. The disciples walked with Jesus for three years. They knew He was a good teacher. They knew that He had the words of life. But they did not worship until after the resurrection. Then, they gave their lives, traveling the world spreading the Good News to whoever would listen. Many even gave their lives for this cause. We are not under the threat of persecution for our witness, but we are no less harassed by the enemy in an effort to stop our efforts to spread the Kingdom in our sphere of influence. As a members of Revival Life Church, we are alive in south Florida to make disciples by calling people to connect, serve, and worship God. As you meditate on this message this week, think about the authority you operate in when you share the message of Jesus. Who in your life do you need to pray for? Set a time each day to pray for the people in your life that are away from God. Make a plan to let the people in your life know that you are a follower of Jesus and you follow His voice.
