Paul is a person with plenty of ‘wants’ - to be freed from prison, a decent meal and sleep, to see the gospel spread and the church united. But in this passage, Paul writes that above anything else, all he ultimately wants is Christ. All that Christ is, and all that Christ wants for him. As Darrell unpacks the text, we see more clearly the person of Paul in Christ, the passion of Paul in Christ and the pathway of Paul in Christ.
