All I Want for Christmas: "Mighty God" [Curtis Teel]

What do you want for Christmas? An Xbox One? A soul mate? Your two front teeth? A Browns playoff game or three. Those are all noble things. But there may be something deeper that you want. Or need. Around 700 B.C. the prophet Isaiah delivered an oracle proclaiming the birth of a child. He also revealed a quintet of peculiar baby names for the little guy: “And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Maybe, somehow, this God-Child is what we really want and need for Christmas.
