Set against a dangerous nighttime crossing from France to England, the track examines people-smuggling, border control, homelessness and a system perceived as treating vulnerable people by different standards. It contrasts promises of food, clothing, phones and accommodation with the reality of British citizens sleeping on floors and being told that no help is available. The record does not blame desperate individuals or attack people because of their background. Instead, it questions the smugglers profiting from dangerous journeys, the political decisions surrounding them and the apparent absence of one fair, properly controlled system.
